South Carolina Commercial Real Estate Auctions

The bankruptcy auction of +/-29 acres on our online auction platform, LFC.com, is only one month away from its bid deadline, and I wanted to share more insight into the City of Spartanburg, South Carolina before the auction ends.

As I mentioned in my post about connecting with your town on social media, Spartanburg has been doing an exceptional job creating valuable content reaching out to residents and visitors through various social media services. However, I failed to mention that the city also runs a successful blog, teeming with local news and information that is worth checking out whether you live there or not. Their most recent article titled Newly Expanded Hours for Top Local Tourist Attractions provides updates on the hours of operation at the Hollywild Animal Park and the historical Walnut Grove Plantation. While the blog primarily focuses on current event updates such as the farmer’s market schedule and the city bike race, they also post relevant stories about the city, such as this article from the Washington Post that provides an in depth review of the town from an nonresident’s perspective, titled Spartanburg, S.C., savors its Colonial-era past and its BMW present. Becky Krystal crafts her story for the Post’s travel section by ushering readers through the days of old when the town was just a “railroad hub” up to the present day, when the city features a BMW luxury car plant and six schools of higher education.

These are just a couple of the articles I found noteworthy for their rich content and differing perspectives. I encourage you to research this historic town and read up on the economic growth its 150,000 residents are enjoying despite the down economy. If raw land factors into your investment strategy, visit our online auction so that you can perform all of your due diligence before May 27th.
